We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer to join our innovative team in Santa Clara, CA. This pivotal role will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex

ServiceNow solutions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Java and Python for integrations and custom applications, and deploying solutions using Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform, alongside proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor a team of developers.

Responsibilities:

• • Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, and integrations.
  • Architect and develop complex integrations between ServiceNow and various external systems using Java and Python, leveraging REST/SOAP APIs and other integration patterns.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and functionalities within ServiceNow that utilize Java or Python for intricate business logic and data manipulation.
  • Utilize Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of Java and Python-based microservices and applications integrated with ServiceNow.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of ServiceNow developers, fostering a culture of best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and other technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.

• Drive adherence to best practices for code quality, scalability, security, and performance across all development efforts, particularly for Java and Python components within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
• Oversee and actively participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to ServiceNow, Java, Python applications, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay abreast of new ServiceNow features, industry trends, and emerging technologies, particularly in Java, Python, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on the ServiceNow platform.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java development, including relevant frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python development, including relevant libraries and frameworks.
• Proven experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of applications.
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform modules, scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), and configuration (Business Rules, UI Policies, Workflows, Flow Designer, etc.).
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using various protocols (REST, SOAP).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• ServiceNow Certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer) are highly preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
