1. Lead testing and quality engineering efforts: Oversee and direct testing and quality engineering activities to ensure they are done correctly and effectively.
2. Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts: Create and run tests (both manual and automated) to identify bugs and issues in the product.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with teams like development, product management, and design to ensure testing is aligned with product goals.
4. Analyze defects and improve product and process quality: Identify and fix bugs, and also identify areas for process improvement to prevent future bugs.
5. Automate manual regression testing suites: Convert manual tests to automated tests to save time and effort.
6. Partner with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing: Work with stakeholders to ensure testing covers all necessary scenarios and requirements.
7. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing: Help users test the product to ensure it meets their needs.
8. Serve as testing SME to guide business: Be the expert in testing and guide the business on testing best practices.
9. Perform initial defect analysis and escalate issues: Identify and report bugs, and escalate critical issues to the team.
10. Maintain full traceability between requirements and test cases: Ensure that all tests are linked to specific product requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Experience in Order Management and/or Sourcing technology
2. Web Services testing experience using Rest APIs
3. Experience with CICD build automation tools
4. Experience integrating with Test Management tools like JIRA
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience Required:
1. 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering & Analysis
2. Retail experience with Subject Matter Expertise in Blue Yonder’s IA & Sourcing products
3. Hands-on testing experience with Blue Yonder
4. AS/400 experience and expertise in AS/400 hands-on testing
5. Webservices testing experience
6. Database testing & querying experience
Education and Location:
1. Degreed professional (Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree)
2. Only Chicago location profiles are accepted
3. Must be local or on W2 (no C2C for Green Card holders)
