What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a developer comfortable working across frontend and backend, with a focus on building and maintaining modern React applications, Python APIs, and PHP/WordPress sites.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Director of Digital and design team to deliver high-quality, maintainable code for client projects.

You’ll also play a key role in modernizing our frontend stack – upgrading projects from older versions of React to current best practices and tooling.

This is a junior to mid-level role, ideal for someone with a solid foundation and ready to grow in a supportive, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React-based applications (Redux or equivalent state management)
• Build and update backend services in Python, integrating with REST APIs
• Maintain and customize WordPress sites, including PHP theme/plugin development
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs across the stack
• Write maintainable, well-documented code with automated tests
• Collaborate with designers and project management to meet client needs
• Participate in code reviews and follow version control best practices

Requirements

• 2+ years React development experience
• 1 – 3 years professional experience in web development
• Strong JavaScript/ES6+ fundamentals and comfort with modern build tools (Webpack, etc.)
• Proficient in Python for backend/API work
• Intermediate PHP skills for WordPress development
• Experience integrating and working with REST APIs
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
• Bonus: Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS, experience with non-profits, experience upgrading legacy codebases

Visa Sponsorship is not included in our hiring package. Applicants will need to be authorized to work in the U.S. and currently reside in the U.S.
