At Datadog, we place value in our office culture – the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You’ll Do:
- Evolve Compensation Strategy: Help us redefine and evolve how we believe about base, variable, and equity compensation structures
- Advanced Analytics: Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify problems, develop hypotheses, and recommend data-backed solutions for compensation programs and processes
- Data Visualization & Modeling: Build and develop dynamic dashboards and analytic models to provide actionable business insights and interpret market or internal trends
- Drive Automation: Streamline and automate monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation reporting and analysis using modern data tools and AI workflows
- Market Benchmarking: Conduct global market benchmarking, assess peer groups, and ensure consistent market pricing practices while maintaining internal equity.
- Storytelling with Data: Provide sophisticated compensation recommendations, clearly building data driven insights while tying it back to overall comp strategy
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative-focused major (e.g., Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics)
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in business analytics, finance or a related field in a fast-growing environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, VBA, Power Query)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Unmatched attention to detail; ensuring numbers are accurate & delivered on time to key partners
- High learning agility, flexibility, and quantitative problem-solving skills
Bonus Points:
- Consulting, Project Management or Analytics experience
- Experience building interactive / replicable dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or other advanced analytic platforms
- Familiarity with Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and automating repetitive workflows.
Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing scalable, repeatable processes backed by detailed ongoing documentation
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That’s okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
