Inventory Management Specialist In Chicago The Inventory Analyst will oversee the entire life cycle of component materials, from the acknowledgment of need to the order fulfillment. A successful Inventory Analyst should be able to ensure the appropriate supply of cost-efficient, and high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery. This position will analyze the needs of internal and external customers, and will develop strategies to improve efficiency, and coordinate supply and demand across multiple locations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Ability to meet deadlines, exhibit great attention to detail, and communicate in a positive manner is essential. Communicating professionally and clearly is required. A thorough understanding of software, systems, business procedures, and problem-solving is necessary for success.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Generate and review reports to proactively identify and mediate potential stock shortages.
Provide procurement support to include requirements determination/forecasting, procurement planning, procurement determination and tracking, and coordinating the execution and result.
Provide life cycle management of equipment contracts such as blanket purchase agreements.
Establish SOPs for activities such as acknowledgment of need, order management and forecasting models.
Coordinating deliveries with the vendor, as well as monitoring and resolving vendor payments.
Responsible for tracking and reporting the performance of each vendor against delivery criteria.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or Supply Chain.
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills required.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to multitask.
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Local geographical knowledge is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems are required.
